A Quick Comparison From One Painting: Charlotte and Me

Once upon a time, I wrote a creative non-fiction/research paper on Emily Bronte. I have no idea what the prof thought or even what grade I received on said paper as she only gave the overall grade for the class, but in doing the research, I discovered this well-known picture of Emily’s sister, Charlotte:

And I thought she looked a lot like me:

Same nose, same mouth. If you look at the tinted versions, she has reddish hair. My hair was strawberry blonde for most of my life, but since Toby was born, it has darkened to an auburn.

What do you think?

About The Original Kate

Along with artistic tendencies, Kate enjoys unusual people and is constantly striving for some sort of nonconformity. Kate offers a perspective that is thoughtful but well-written and full of images within the words. Other tidbits that might intrigue: she has very long auburn hair, and, you guessed it, her favorite color is orange.
