“Can I Look At Your Wallet?”

I found another movie I love this weekend. It’s called “Off The Map”. Just’In thought it was weird, and yes, it’s very artsy and a lot slower-paced than any of the main-streamed movies out there, but I love it. It’s set in New Mexico, and does a very good job of portraying the state’s subtle beauty. There is some suggestive nudity in it (she’s standing in the garden staring at a coyote when the IRS guy comes along and falls in love with her) but it’s very good at not showing any “private parts” by using strategically-placed sagebrush and building. There’re also more straight-forward sketches of a woman’s body nude, and because of all that, I’m still not sure whether I want to own it or not, but I do know that I love it. If you want to see it yourself, I found it on the New Releases shelf in Hollywood Video, so it’s not too obscure.

About The Original Kate

Along with artistic tendencies, Kate enjoys unusual people and is constantly striving for some sort of nonconformity. Kate offers a perspective that is thoughtful but well-written and full of images within the words. Other tidbits that might intrigue: she has very long auburn hair, and, you guessed it, her favorite color is orange.
